For decades, we’ve been crafting natural comfort in Emyvale, County Monaghan — combining generations of experience with an enduring belief in doing things properly.

Silver Hill was established in 1962 in the small village of Emyvale, County Monaghan. More than six decades later, the business has grown to become Ireland’s leading producer of duck and down products.

The breed, the down and the feeling of lighter warmth.

Silver Hill works with the world renowned Silver Hill breed of duck, an exclusive breed of Peking duck found only in Emyvale. Its pure white down is prized for natural loft, insulation and the lighter feel that defines the company’s bedding.

The result is a collection built around warmth without heaviness, breathable cotton casings and a calmer sleeping experience.

Cleaned, sorted and finished close to source

Crafted through specialist process and local finishing.

The down is gathered, cleaned and sorted on the Monaghan site, then tested for quality before being filled into 100% cotton casing. Washing, rinsing and drying are handled through specialist machinery developed for feather and down, with sanitising processes used to meet European hygiene and cleanliness requirements.

Every duvet and pillow is filled and hand stitched by the local team, keeping the finishing process close to its source.

For many years the company’s feather and down products were used in the vibrant furniture upholstery business in County Monaghan. Today, Silver Hill duvets and pillows are also the preferred choice of leading five star hotels including Castle Leslie, Adare Manor and Sheen Falls.
